Orcs, hobbits, dwarves and elves. Welcome to Middle Earth, the emergency exits are at the front and back of the plane. Air New Zealand does it again.
Let's face it, any one who takes planes regularly doesn't watch the safety demonstration before take off. But if Gandalf the Grey was demonstrating the emergency position and an orc showed you how to tighten your seat belt, perhaps you'd be more attentive.
Air New Zealand, the official airline of Middle Earth, has created "The Most Epic Safety Video Ever Made" in anticipation of the release of the final Hobbit movie. Elijah Wood, Peter Jackson and a multitude of Kiwi accented elves, orcs, dwarves and hobbits feature in the film. The Ring even makes an appearance.
The video has been shot amongst some of New Zealand's most astounding scenery with mountain views and vast rivers providing a back drop.
This is the second Hobbit-inspired safety video from Air New Zealand, the first An Unexpected Briefing, attracted more than 12 million global online views and generated huge media coverage. The airline is well known for its creative safety videos with past clips including the Bear Essentials of Safety featuring adventurer Bear Grylls and Safety Old School Style with Betty White. The safety videos have collectively generated over 30 million online views.
The video was produced by True in Auckland.
