Dancing “don’t walk” man should be installed at every crosswalk immediately

Dancing “don’t walk” man should be installed at every crosswalk immediately

This fun project by car manufacturer Smart addresses a simple experience in everyday life that irritates us all – waiting for that dang crosswalk sign to change. This amazing project spices up that dull minute-and-a-half by giving the little red man some sweet dance moves.

The best part about this project is that the dance moves are coming from a nearby “dancing booth” where real people are dancing, with their moves translated into the pixilated little figure on the crosswalk sign.

It is inspiring to see how much fun everyone experiencing the project is having and it turns out it actually changed pedestrian behavior. Besides busting a few dance moves on the sidewalk, 81% more people waited at the light rather than dashing across.

Watch the video below for a fast-paced recap of the whole project.
