If someone burst through the door, the teacher would be completely helpless at that angle and range. As a best practice, she should be positioned parallel to the door, ideally 2-3 feet away, ready to tackle an intruder or bash him with a blunt object.
Children should be positioned perpendicular to windows, ideally with desks overturned to provide cover and deter low-rolling grenades from penetrating directly into the heart of the classroom. This spread pattern would also force aimed gunfire, instead of spray and pray, which will slow the attacker and decrease casualties.
Finally, it appears the school door doesn't even have a lock(!), which seems to be a huge miss in this classroom's feeble attempt at safety protocols.

When I grew up, gun violence had yet to rear its ugly head in our schools. Frankly, I can not imagine how scared American kids are to go to school today, to say nothing of the fears of their parents.
