UK-based design studio Dorothy has done it again with their latest project – ‘Rock N’ Roll Zoo.’ The name is self-explanatory, for it is a beautifully clever map of animals referenced in popular music, nicely designed and illustrated.
77 animals are inspired by song and album titles spanning across decades of music.
Obvious but obligatory inclusions are Eye Of the Tiger (Survivor), Crocodile Rock (Elton John), The Love Cats (The Cure), Diamond Dogs (David Bowie), Hounds of Love (Kate Bush), Little Red Rooster (The Rolling Stones), Beetlebum (Blur) and Superfly (Curtis Mayfield). Tracy Worrall’s wonderful illustrations are reminiscent of vintage children’s books, giving a sense of childlike wonder to the print.Rock N’ Roll Zoo is available to purchase as a poster and 4 separate ‘box set’ collections of prints in the size of 12″ vinyl records. This will make a great gift for music aficionados as well as Anglophiles. Check out more of this brilliant project here.
