The British company John Lewis launched a campaign of "Monty's Christmas", which tells the story of a boy, Sam and his friend-penguin Monty. Noticing that Monty is boring, the boy gives him a present on Christmas - new penguin friend Mabel. Campaign slogan: "Give someone a Christmas that he wanted".

What a load of bollocks. Stinks of 'cute mascot' like those meerkat ads. And what is a 7-year-old boy doing with a stuffed toy anyway? The kid wants toughening up. Maybe a few cuffs around the lughole, or made to walk over hot coals in bare feet. A bit of roughhousing will do him good in my opinion.
